Find the class that fits you
Our academy consists of a student base ranging from brand new beginners to experienced competitors. At one point they all knew as much about Jiu Jitsu as you do right now. The only difference is that they took that first step on the mat and kept coming back.
Jiu Jitsu is an amazingly effective and versatile martial art. Learning it doesn't have to look like fight club. It should be an enjoyable and engaging way to strengthen your mind-body connection and get in shape. To help us help you, and to help you see your path forward, we divide students out based on four basic levels of experience.
A large part of learning Jiu Jitsu is being able to get enough mat experience to allow the lessons to compound. This is easier when you are running more or less with your pack. We offer classes for all levels of students to come together and train - this is important. It is equally important that you work with people at roughly your skill level to help each other find what does and does not work.
Schedule
Our Schedule offers you a structured approach to acquiring skill. Not sure where to start? Let us help you find a class level that suits you best. A few classes a week goes a long way to adding balance, (and skills), to your life.
Try a Class
Jiu Jitsu is challenging! That is a seldom advertised fact. Yes, it is an amazingly effective martial art! Yes, it can give a smaller person the means to control a bigger and stronger adversary. Yes, it is often described as having a super power. All that said, Jiu Jitsu is hard!
The difficulty in fact is what draws many people to the training - They want to experience a significant challenge and find the strength and ability to overcome it. Other students aren’t looking for the difficulty, they want to find the leverage and ability to overcome adversity through clever technique. Both can be found on the mat. Get offline and get on the mat. Your mind solves problems all day - give your other muscles a chance to greet adversity and solve problems. TRY A CLASS and see what Jiu Jitsu can offer you!
